  • If you are a homeowner working on a project that involves disturbance of painted surfaces, you may want to have the paint tested for lead. We can perform testing on any painted surface with our x-ray florescence analyzer (XRF).

  • If you have any concerns regarding lead in your household dust, water, or even the soil outside in your yard, we can collect samples and send them to a laboratory for analysis.

General Services

Connecticut-Specific Services

  • A visual inspection of all painted interior and exterior surfaces related to a dwelling. Damaged paint may be tested with an analyzer to determine the presence of lead-based paint. Dust wipe samples are collected from floors and windowsills to evaluate dust-lead content, and a drinking water sample is taken from a kitchen cold-water tap.

  • All painted surfaces within a dwelling are tested for lead-based paint. Dust wipe samples are collected from areas frequented by children under the age of six years old. A drinking water sample is collected from a kitchen cold-water tap. Soil samples are taken from exterior bare soil areas if present.

  • Dust wipe samples are collected to determine dust-lead levels following lead-based paint abatement. In each room where work occurred, dust wipes are typically collected from the floor, one (1) windowsill, and one (1) window well. The clearance is mandatory for a family to move back into their dwelling after abatement.
